To help your first TCM consultation run smoothly, please read the following carefully.

Before your appointment

• Reserve at least 1 hourfor the first consultation.
• Arrive 10–15 minutes earlyto complete any remaining forms.
• Do NOT brush or scrape your tongueon the day of your consultation. Tongue diagnosis is important.
• Do NOT drink coffee, tea, or juicefor at least 2 hours before your visit.
• Avoid food or drinks that stain the tongue: berries, beetroot, curry, coloured candy, etc.
• Do not come with a too empty or too full stomach. Eat a light meal 1–2 hours before.
• Do notdrink alcohol or smoke joints before the consultation.
• Avoid heavy exercise immediately before your appointment.
• If possible, bring casual or sportswearfor acupuncture treatment.
• Bring a list of:
  • all medications and dosages
  • supplements, herbs, and alternative medicines
  • relevant medical reports, test results, and scans
• Bring your:
  • ID
  • insurance card / policy number
  • GP / huisarts details
• Tell us in advance if you:
  • are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • have a pacemaker or implanted electronic device
  • use anticoagulants or antiplatelets
  • have allergies (metals, needles, plasters, latex, herbs)
  • have recently had fever, surgery, or an accident

Cancellation policy

• Without unavoidable reasons, cancellation less than 24 hoursbefore your appointment will be charged €25.

Insurance

• We have contracts with insurance companies via SCAG and NVTCG Zhong.
• Reimbursement policies differ. Please contact your insurance company if you have questions.

Travel and parking

• Check travel and parking information in advance so you arrive relaxed and on time.

Consent

• Please read the General Informed Consent carefully.
• Tick each applicable box and sign where required.
• For a minor, a parent or guardian must sign.
